The purpose of this project was to learn sound design in a fun and creative way. I decided that creating a looping video would be a great approach. I began by researching playful, patterned videos and thought I could illustrate some patterns and bring them to life through sound design.
To make this personal, I looked to my own culture, which is deeply influenced by Islamic art, and reimagined those patterns using colours not traditionally associated with Islamic design—adding a modern twist. My goal was to pair these visuals with a sound that feels both mechanical and organic, enhancing the unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements.
